Missions & Outreach

The Mission

Our goal at Grace is to "Make Him Known". Grace is a missions minded church with involvement in all aspects of missions. As believers we are called to share the love of Jesus and the gospel locally in our community, in our country, and around the world.

Local

Local

One of the most important areas of missions that we are involved with is our state and local missions. Through opportunities like, Vacation Bible School, our H.O.P.E Closet, high school sporting events, disaster relief projects, and other local projects, we have been able to be the hands and feet of Jesus and share his love with people in our community.

Domestic

Domestic

Through numerous organizations we have had the opportunity to travel to across the United States to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus. We've participated in projects in several states including South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana, Kentucky, Montana,  Wyoming and Alaska. We've helped build churches, provide disaster relief and medical care, as well as, participate in other community outreach events.

International

International

Grace is partnered with several international mission organizations that provide opportunities for us to travel internationally to spread the love of Jesus. Our main international partner is Monte de Horeb Ministries located in Honduras. Starting in 2025, we are also partnering with Operation Christmas Child, through Samaritan's Purse, to be a drop-off location for thousands of shoeboxes that will be delivered to kids across the world.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Matthew 28:19-20

Will be volunteering in the concession stands during the East Gaston football game on Friday, October 17th. EGHS volunteer night is always an exciting time for us because we get to serve the fans in attendance and shine the light of Jesus at the same time!

Send Relief Weekend Mission Trip

In November, we are going on a special weekend mission trip to serve with our Southern Baptist partner Send Relief who serves in the greater Atlanta area. This trip will provide multiple serving opportunities during the weekend, including some cross-cultural ministry to the nations right here in the South.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse that spreads the Gospel of Jesus through the gift of a shoebox. The shoeboxes are packed small toys, hyguine necessities, school supplies, etc. and are sent to children all over the world who are in need. Since 1993, 232 million children in more 170 countries have received an Operation Christmas Child Shoe box.

This year, in addition to collecting shoeboxes as a church we are partnering with Samaritan's Purse to the be drop-off location for the city of Mount Holly during national collecting week! We are excited about this opportunity and are looking forward to helping thousands of shoeboxes reach kids all over the world.

Honduras

The primary project of both trips will be building a home for a Honduran family. Everyone will be able to take part in these trips by sponsoring a block for $35. 100 block sponsorships will build one home! This is a great way to make Jesus known and serve Hondurans!
