WHAT TO EXPECT

The children’s ministry at Grace consists of several opportunities for kids to learn about God. Sunday School is offered at 9:15 AM. Afterwards, your children will attend the first half of the worship service. This gives them the chance to experience “big church” with their own family and their church family. They will then be dismissed to Children’s Church where they will have a lesson and activities geared more to their level. Our Awana program is offered on Sunday nights from August through June, then a more relaxed program of lessons, crafts and games is provided for the summer months. On Wednesday nights our Kids on Mission takes place. This is a time of learning about missionaries and mission work, along with other topics of study.
Awana is an international program that helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. The program offers Awana Clubs from ages 2 – Grade 5.  As a ministry leader for nearly 60 years, Awana is making an impact!  A recent national survey found Awana to be as important to their alumni’s spiritual foundation as all other church activities combined.  Among alumni who participated in the program for at least six years, 92.7% still attend church at least weekly as adults.  Each week, more than one million kids and youth ages 2 to 18 participate in Awana in over 12,000 churches in the U.S. and 6,500 international programs! Awana meets on Sundays at 6 pm during the school year.
